Barack Obama’s Negative Effect on Our Children’s Future?

Here’s something important to think about: Recently there has been some talk going around about Barack Obama and his church, which he released the name of after being questioned about his Muslim faith. Obama’s church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is founded on a “non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA, and all members are “committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA” (Diaspora refers to any people or ethnic population who are forced or induced to leave their traditional homelands). A February 6 Chicago Tribune article reported that “conservative critics have seized on Trinity’s 12-point Black Value System, especially the portion relating to ‘middleclassness,’ as evidence that Obama is a divisive candidate who rejects mainstream American values and is primarily focused on the black community.” Carlson pointed to the “disavowal of the pursuit of ‘middleclassness’ ” in the church’s tenets, calling the church’s mission a “racially exclusive theology” and “a theology that ministers to one group of people, based on race.” Carlson claimed that Trinity’s theology is “racially exclusive” and “wrong,” adding that “it’s hard to call that Christianity.”

Obama is running for the President of the United States, yet no where on the church’s website is America even mentioned. Obama, and his financial partner Oprah, seem to be focused on the well-being of the people of Africa, not America. Obama refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance, wear an American flag pin (like the rest of the candidates), etc. Our children’s future is at stake. I’m not against change, but our country was founded on some basic principles that need to remain in place (i.e. as evidenced in the Pledge of Allegiance). Our country needs a President that loves the American people as well as America itself. Obama claims to be someone that cares for all people, yet his devotion to an obviously racist church seems to say otherwise.

  1. i admire Barack Obama because he is very charismatic and he is liberal minded.

  2. I remember when we heard the POTUS in grade school in the 50′s. And again in the 60′s. Of course we were too young to understand much but we were so proud to have a President know we were out there. I would have kept my kids home to listen to Obama. I would not have done that for Bush as I thought him a liar and did not respect him or the office he shamed. However, if my kids were to listen to Bush in school, I would have allowed it. It is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNTIED STATES. No even the POTUS is powerful enough to “BRAINWASH” my kids. What a joke and show of stupidity for parents and teachers.
Now in hindsight, don’t you all feel like the fools you really are?

  3. Barack Obama for me is the most charismatic president to be ever elected. He also makes great decisions, for example in the ecomomic stimulus package to counter the effects of recession.

  4. Barack Obama is not only a charismatic president but he is a very intelligent and smart person too. I congratulate him for winning a Nobel Peace Prize .

  5. i believe that Barack Obama is the president that the US needs in these hard times. I do not like the local and foreign policy of any Rebublican.

  6. Do you think this was the simplest way to express your thoughts?

  7. Barack Obama is a very special person since he is the first black president of the United States of America. his ability as a president is also very good and his plans for economic recovery is a good one.

  8. Barack Obama may be a charismatic leader but somehow his economic policies are not that great in my own opinion. But still i am thankful that a Obama is the current president of the unitied states.

  9. Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” contains a appealing title. It has an idea of bravery mixed with confidence. There’s nothing Pollyanna about it. I won’t support almost everything he tells, but he’s our president, and then for me, he creates confidence. That may do more for just a country than any amount of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I used to be a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is not over. I’ve come across the quips of those who don’t believe Obama is capable of doing it. But step back a moment. Would anyone have most of us fail just to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Attempting to keep our priorities straight, let’s work together with our president and build our future.
