For menu ideas, we turned to the films themselves, letting this year’s 10 Best Picture nominees inspire 10 unique meals. Our menu for the football-focused movie The Blind Side is a Southern tailgate complete with ribs, potato salad, and chess pie. For Inglourious Basterds, which takes place in France, we selected dishes from that country then finished with strudel, a dessert served during a pivotal scene.
